Adventure Quest Worlds Development Just Got A Whole Lot Faster With New Dev Tools
The game is being rebuilt, and the tools the devs are using are getting better.
Adventure Quest Worlds dropped a new update today showcasing the progress the game has been making with the remake. The 2D browser MMO is getting a Unity rebuild from the ground up, and along with that comes the ability to add awesome and easy-to-use dev tools.
The biggest new feature in this update focuses on a new tool that makes it much simpler to add NPCs to the world. Before, each NPC added was a multi-step process that was way more demanding of the devs than it needed to be. Now, with the new tools being developed, a dev can drop one line of code, and POOF, the NPC appears for all players. It's a pretty big deal when you can make populating your game world that much faster.
And if you want transparency in your game development, then the huge list of notes copy/pasted directly from dev meetings will be right up your alley. It's a long list of what the team has been working on as well as what they are looking at for the immediate future of the game. You can check out the full post on the official site to see the entire list of meeting notes.
