A.V.A. Closed Beta This Weekend, Will Feature New Anti-cheat And Tester Rewards
"Pay2Win Will No Longer Be Around," Neowiz promises.
The closed beta test for the revitalized Alliance of Valiant Arms kicks off later this week, running from November 26-28 on Steam. Following up on the test announcement from last month, Neowiz now says that the game will "move from a performance model to a visual model" and that "Pay2Win will no longer be around." In other words, the cash shop is all about the cosmetics (we hope).
Other points of concern being addressed with this test include A.V.A.'s current anticheat system, which Neowiz said "simply is not up to the task to deal with malicious attempts from many users." As a result, it will be replaced with EOS, a program developed by Easy Anti-Cheat that "uses cutting-edge technology to prevent most unwanted exploits, as well as keeping up to date with new and upcoming threats."
The game's servers will be hosted by Amazon Web Services and will be located in Europe, Asia, and the central United States. Rewards for playtesters include the M4A1 Dreamcatcher, in-game currency, and weapon modification tickets.
You can learn more about the closed beta test, and sign up for it, via the A.V.A. Steam page.
