A New Hub, New Weapon, New Crafting, New Enemy Faction, And A New Teaser For F2P Project Pantheon's Next Alpha Test
The PvPvE "ExtrAction" RPG seems to be right on track with previous roadmaps.
Wolcen Studio is back with official dates for the next closed alpha test of their upcoming PvPvE extraction game, Project Pantheon. The team keeps using the term "ExtrAction RPG" given the ARPG camera and control scheme used, in case you saw that term and were confused. The F2P game has had some previous testing and I've sat with the teams multiple times to get a look at what the gameplay actually offers. Those of you that haven't been in previous test phases may want to check out my preview piece since the new teaser trailer doesn't yet show gameplay. Hopefully, future videos will start showing that aspect of the game off to players. I mean, the team still has time given that their current roadmap doesn't see anything besides more alpha tests through the fall of this year.
If you've been a part of previous tests, you'll automatically be given access to the upcoming test starting on April 25th. The test will be a little over 24 hours long. If you signed up to test the game but still haven't been given access, you do not need to sign up again. More players will receive invites to this new test. If you haven't yet signed up, hit the site up to do so by April 22nd if you want in on test number two.
Comparing this new test to previous tests, a number of new features and gameplay elements have been added. Players will now be able to dodge roll out of attacks, you'll have to craft and repair gear, you can customize some of that gear, and a new magical staff weapon has been added. Make sure to check out the new map, new enemy faction, and a new gameplay tutorial on your journey.
One of the largest items added is the new player sanctuary. Until now, the testing has been mostly menu-based when it comes to "out of match" features. Not anymore, friend. Your sanctuary can be expanded and you can hang out and explore a bit.
Closed test 3 will still happen in the spring with test number 4 slated for the fall.
