5v5 Hero Shooter FragPunk Delays Console Release 2 Days Before Planned Launch, PC Version Still Arrives Tomorrow
There's compensation coming whether you pre-ordered a bundle or not.
Bad Guitar Studio is all set to release its 5v5 hero shooter FragPunk tomorrow. Well, they WERE all set, apparently. According to an announcement on the game's X (formerly Twitter) account, the PC version will be the only version actually releasing on March 6th. The console version, originally planned for both the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, will now be coming at a later date, and one that isn't known right now.
The team encountered "unexcepted technical difficulties" during the console certification process and the team claims that, "Rather than rushing the console release and providing a potentially poor user experience, we have made the difficult decision to delay the launch of the console versions to ensure that players receive a comparable experience to those on PC."
If you did pre-order the F2P game's console bundle, you will be getting a refund from the console's marketplace. When FragPunk does arrive on consoles, you will be given $10 worth of in-game currency and a chance to grab all the originally promised pre-order items. There's even compensation for console players that didn't pre-order. All console players will be given all rewards available during Season 1 from the time the first season begins until the actual console launch...whenever that may end up being.
That said, if you're keen to get your hands on another F2P, 5v5, hero shooter, you can play FragPunk on PC tomorrow, March 6th.
