37Games MMOARPG Guardians of Divinity Coming In 2016
Fusion War developer 37Games has an all-new MMOARPG coming in 2016. The free-to-play game Guardians of Divinity (or G.O.D. for short) centers on a war that crosses a variety of mythologies, including Greek, Chinese, and Egyptian.
Guardians of Divinity begins in the past when humans, divided by location, worshiped different pantheons depending on their locations. These differences in faith resulted in the nations warring against each other until Prometheus brought them together by building a towering structure and turned the continents into floating cities, creating a long period of peace.
However this peace ended when the Goddess of Prophecy predicted a demigod would steal Zeus’ throne. Zeus began to hunt all demigods down, resulting in the demigods rebelling and waging war against the gods.
This is where G.O.D. picks up, with players coming across the great gods of the pantheons, fighting them and earning the devotion of the humans.
Guardians of Divinity’s closed beta is on the horizon and will allow players to choose one of three classes: Warrior, Archer, and Mage. Signups for the free-to-play game’s beta are open now and can be accessed via the G.O.D. site.
