Happy 8th Anniversary, World of Warships!
The September update, known as Update 12.8, brings significant improvements to the strategy game's graphics and audio, introduces the Airship Escort mode to Random Battles, and adds Spanish cruisers to the game. To mark this milestone, players can unlock various rewards, including battle performance bonuses and Festive Tokens, which can be exchanged for a range of rewards such as camouflages, discounts for Tier VIII ships, and more. The patch also introduces the European Tier IX battleship Karl XIV Johan, along with special permanent camouflage, Commanders with individual voiceovers, and flags and patches.
One of the highlights of the update is the introduction of the Airship Escort mode in Random Battles. This mode features a 12v12 format where players escort an allied airship along a fixed route while battling the rival team.
Graphics and audio enhancements have also been a focus in recent updates, with improved textures, animations for waves, and environmental details that enhance the game's realism. Audio-visual combat effects, including shot sounds and explosions, have also been refined to create a more immersive experience.
Spanish cruisers are now available to all players as they leave Early Access, and the "Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova-" collaboration returns too. Additionally, four new Brawls with unique Division formats are introduced, and the construction of the Pan-Asian Tier X destroyer Lüshun continues in the Dockyard. The update also includes bug fixes, upgrades, and balance changes.
