Team Fortress 2 Halloween Update Turns Players into Wizards, Sends them to Hell
It's hard to believe Valve just kicked off Team Fortress 2's fifth annual Halloween event, Scream Fortress. The FPS remains extremely captivating no matter how many years since its release. This time around, players face off on the new Payload map, Helltower.
Unlike a traditional match of Payload, this one's filled to the brim with summonable skeletons, teleportation, giant death rocket eyes, fire bats, and a one way trip to hell. In order to harness such powerful magic, players will need to equip the new spell book item. The book isn't complete though, and players will need to collect special pages dropped which grant a random spell.
At this point we turn to the more "predictable" portion of the update, the hats. Scream Fortress adds more than 100 new items developed by community members specifically for the Halloween event. 8 New achievements have also been added, including 'Attack o' Lantern' which unlocks after killing players with exploding pumpkin bombs. How festive!
Interested players can now participate in the event until November 11th.
