Gamigo Appoints EA And Infogrames Vet And bitComposer AG Founder Wolfgang Duhr As New COO
Duhr will head up the push in mobile and business development and licensing.
With Marcus Behrens departing the role of COO, gamigo has tapped Wolfgang Duhr to fill the role and direct the MMO company's focus in global development, licensing, and the direction of their KingsIsle studio in Austin, Texas.
Coming from a background in senior roles at EA, Infogrames, and Kalypso, as well as being a founder for bitComposer AG, Duhr seems pretty happy to take over the reins for gamigo's "great variety of IPs and strong userbase."
“I am excited and looking forward to the opportunity to become an integral part of the amazing gamigo group," said Duhr.
Jens Knauber, CEO of gamigo, said that with Duhr's "background and proven experience within the industry, he is a great addition to our core management team to manage the operational business on our current and upcoming lineup."
Whether this means anything new for the future of games like Rift that have failed to have any real updates in a LONG time remains to be seen.
