FEAR Online Officially launches on Steam in October
Never fear, F.E.A.R. Online is almost here! The horror shooter from Aeria Games has underwent some "extensive redesign and gameplay adjustments" following the game's closed beta back in May and now sits -creepily- in the dark corners of Steam awaiting its final release on October 17th.
Speaking to fans, Aeria Games CEO Pascal Zuta mentioned that after listening to player feedback the team has "redesigned elements of the game that are most important to players to deliver an experience that we hope will please the vast and dedicated fan base of the F.E.A.R. series."
F.E.A.R. Online offers a few familiar faces to those who've wandered the franchises halls in the past. For those who've been keeping up with their F.E.A.R. history, F.E.A.R. Online takes place in parallel to the events of F.E.A.R. 2, with players primarily tasked with taking on the hostile Armacham corporation and other unsettling evils which undoubtedly lurk in the air-vents.
Ahead of the official launch, players can begin logging into the game's Open Beta on October 7th where they can access F.E.A.R. Online's two PvE modes and 5 PvP modes available to them across 10 maps. For those of you interested in signing up for the Open Beta, you can do so on the official site here.
